“Hard Cold Fire” is here!

“Hard Cold Fire” is finally out right now! It’s been a crazy old journey over the last 33 years to get to this point but here it is, album #16. Feedback on the advance songs has been killer as have the reviews but most importantly you can now hear it yourselves…You can buy/listen below and HERE

There are a few album release ‘instores’ next week where we will be playing the new album in full, they’re all sold out bar Oxford but rest assured there’s a full ‘proper’ Hard Cold Fire tour coming later in the year. All the shows confirmed to date (and festivals etc) are on the main site here

Finally (for now!) a huge thanks to all our friends out there who have bought our records, gig tickets and merch and stayed with us through the pandemic, sharing your stories and cheering us on. Without you we wouldn’t be here, so thank you from the very bottom of our dark, twisted, lovely hearts.

As we always say, we couldn’t do this without you folks!

Poundland Of Hope And Glory video-watch it now!

In advance of the release of Hard Cold Fire on 05 May, we’re delighted to give you another taste of the album with our new video for Poundland of Hope and Glory. Following on from Joy, the track is another driving, anthemic tune with lyrics by vocalist/guitarist Andy Cairns.

Andy says, “this track started out as a hard take on how people lose themselves in narratives to the point that the myth takes on greater importance than the fact. Just like the old adage about the liar repeating the lie so much that they eventually believe it themselves, the culture around us is bursting with fairy stories we tell ourselves.”

Hard Cold Fire is coming!

Extremely happy to confirm our 16th album “HARD COLD FIRE” will be released on 5th May, brought to you via Marshall Records. We’re hugely proud of the album and delighted to share cover, track list and the pre-order info today.

10 brand new dark bangers, produced and mixed by Chris Sheldon with artwork by Nigel Rolfe. You can pre-order limited colour vinyl, cd and cassette, as well as an exclusive t-shirt, test pressings and handwritten lyrics now!
